Please fix the downloads for the Joel interview. For example part 1 is supposed to be 35Mb but only 22 Mb is available. I’ve tried at least 4 times and each time I only get 22Mb even if I use GetRight. If you listen to the interview it’s obvious that the file is cut off.
The podcasts were and are good. Looks like it’s a WordPress.com issue – have contacted wp.com support. Thanks for letting me know!-Bob
Hi,
just downloaded your podcast and I like the content very much, but the sound quality and levels are very hard to listen in the car – it’s either too quiet or too loud.
Please try to improve on that, talk closer to the microphone and with same loudness – you can do it also in post-production, but it’s much harder.
Thanks and keep up the good work on the content.
During this show, you said:
“…I don’t think anybody out there, in their right mind, is going to build another php-based CMS system. It just doesn’t make any sense.”
I couldn’t disagree with this statement more. The status quo with existing CMS frameworks sux, and there is tons of room for improvement. For example, just this year Concrete5 release their new edit-in-place CMS and it really is revolutionary. Check out the demo. This industry is still in its infancy, and it’s shortsighted to think that these solutions are good enough and that there’s not any opportunity left just because some mediocre solutions are already out there.
